Nadia Fares has written, directed and produced numerous independent feature and short films in the U.S., Europe and Middle East.
Her recent film “Big Little Women” won multiple international awards for its personal and poetic approach, while her debut film “Honey and Ashes” received prestigious prizes and critical acclaim — described by Variety as “edgy and intelligent.”
Nadia graduated from New York University, TISCH School of the Arts where she received her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television. Her documentary background has taken her into dangerous territories, from going undercover to interview hitmen in Europe to meeting a jihadist prisoner in Africa.
Fares is currently developing her next features “Hidden House" and “Diplomatic Corps” as well as her series “Young Cleopatra" for the international market.
With her unique perspective as a diverse creator, she is especially interested in giving a voice to women’s untold stories.
